The owners of a commercial building in Bend, Oregon had a number of construction concerns regarding their year-old building and called us to investigate them.

After investigating the current conditions, we found several problems with the building, which included moisture intrusion at the front canopy, many of the windows and at some deck handrail walls. We also discovered the concrete slab floors were sloping and cracked, the stairs were uneven and not code compliant and the main sewer line lacked the required slope to drain and was backing up. After identifying the issues with the building, we supplied a repair scope and acted as owner’s representative to observe and document the repair contractor’s work.

In addition we helped the owners mediate a settlement with the original architect, general contractor and sub-contractors who contributed to the problem areas.
