Pinnell Busch was asked to perform a thorough investigation of the Marquis Vintage Suites. From our invasive testing results, we found deficiencies in the installation of weather resistive barriers (WRB), improper integration of siding & flashings, and improper integration of the windows & other siding penetrations. We developed a remediation scope and improved waterproofing details drawings, and assisted in selecting a qualified contractor to perform the repairs.
We reviewed mock-ups of the integration, the waterproofing details to windows, and other penetrations to ensure the system worked correctly before remediation on the actual building began. A thorough review with recommendations regarding the contractor’s proposed budget & project schedule was performed. Acting as an owner’s representative by conducting weekly site observations, we documented the repair process to ensure the contractor was performing work in substantial accordance with the specifications & drawings details.
