Lewis Hamilton purchases a stake in the NFL Broncos team

Lewis Hamilton, seven-time winner of the Formula One World Championship, joined the Denver Broncos ownership group of the American National Football League.

Walton-Penner family member Rob Walton announced on Tuesday that Hamilton is now involved as a shareholder of the Denver Broncos team.

Hamilton has won more than 100 races so far, which is why he is considered the best driver in F1.

Hamilton also joined a consortium with tennis star Serena Williams in April to buy football team Chelsea.

But after Hamilton's reliance on $611m loans from three US banks was revealed, he was unable to become a Chelsea partner.

Denver Broncos star player and quarterback Russell Wilson celebrates after Hamilton joins ownership of the team.

Along with Hamilton, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Starbucks President Melody Hobson are also included as limited partners of team.
